Optical Enhancements

Is filming a solution I need?
Filming is one of the best ways to increase your view ability. In a normal LCD display as much as half of the back light luminance is lost to internal reflection costing your display in readability and power consumption. By recycling and redirecting this normally lost light, this film enhancement can offer an increase in back light brightness from 60% to 90%, depending on the back light style.
This passive approach to brightness enhancement causes neither heat nor back light life issues while allowing for further enhancement by combining it with our optical bonding process.
Privacy films work to keep confidential and private information private by reducing viewing angles and darkening the display from angles +/- 30 degrees. Persons directly in front of the display have an unobstructed view of displayed information. But from either side, passersby or casual observers see a dark, blank screen. It also serves a secondary purpose of minor abrasion protection.
DBEF, or Dual Brightness Enhancement Film, is a thin matte surface reflective polarizer with tiny 90 degree triangular structures on the film surface. It is used primarily to boost display brightness through light management. It does this by recycling most of the light normally absorbed by the rear polarizer directing it upward through the display.
AR (Anti-Reflectant) and AG (Anti-Glare) films can help improve display performance by decreasing surface reflectance usually to less than 1%. This can help to increase ambient light readability and viewing angles. Regular displays reflect a very small amount of light back into your eye, possibly skewing vision. AR/AG coatings helps to prevent this anomaly.
